ABOUT OUR PHLEBOTOMY PROGRAM
The Phlebotomy/Laboratory Assistant program consists of nine weeks of classroom laboratory education, and a 136 hour required externship at a medical facility that could result in employment based on the student's performance and availability at the facility.
Students receive instruction in blood draw and prepare blood for medical testing. Students will also receive instruction in the collection of blood via venipuncture & finger pricks

Prerequisites and eligibility
- Valid Picture ID
- Valid Social Security Card
- Resume
- Criminal Backgrounds reviewed on case by case basis
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Required High School Diploma or GED/High School Equivalency

Weeks 1 through 7 – Tutoring, mentoring, and open lab 8 hours a week
Week 4 - 7- Tuesday and Thursday classes on interviewing skills and innovative job search techniques
Week 5 – Job Connect is on campus
After Graduation – Job Search Assistance after successful completion of course and passing NHA
