CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION This introductory course will give students a basic understanding of the automobile, how it is designed and proper maintenance. The student will be introduced to the operating systems in the automobile. The course will cover automotive repair, maintenance, electronic principles and diagnostic procedures as well as scientific principles, applications of safety and the correct use of tools.

After the successful completion of this course, participants will be able to test to be certified as a Counterbalanced Sit-down Forklift Driver. Students will demonstrate proficiency in being able to drive and control a forklift in accordance with all laws and regulations for a Forklift Operator.

After the successful completion of this course, with an overall score of 80% or better, participants will qualify for the test to be certified as a Certified Medical Assistant through the NHA (National Health Career Association). Students will demonstrate proficiency in American Heart Association Basic Life Support, CPR, ethics, professionalism & customer service and will become HIPAA certified. Students will also demonstrate an understanding of office policy & procedures and have a basic understanding of electronic medical billing & coding.

Students receive instruction in human anatomy and physiology, basic nursing skills, provider cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), medical terminology, emergency care, infection control and safe clinical practices. Student's ethical and legal responsibilities will be integrated throughout the course. Successful completion of both course content and supervised clinical care will result in satisfaction of criteria required by the Nevada State Board of Nursing.

CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION This introductory course will give students a basic understanding of the automobile, how it is designed and proper maintenance. The student will be introduced to the operating systems in the automobile. The course will cover automotive repair, maintenance, electronic principles and diagnostic procedures as well as scientific principles, applications of safety and the correct use of tools.
