The Academy Is Pleased To Announce That We Have Added Special Orientations For Our Future Phlebotomy Students!

Come meet us the 2nd Tuesday of each month @ 2pm to learn about and enroll in the next class. Admissions staff and our Instructors will be available to answer any questions, give a short review of their classes and help you apply for Scholarships! 

 

The next Orientation will be held on January 9th, we look forward to seeing you in the new year!

8:30 am to 1:30 pm M-TH at the Academy 

8:30 am to 4:30 pm Friday at Valley Hosp.

Note:  Friday clinical hours may vary depending on clinical site

ABOUT OUR PHLEBOTOMY PROGRAM

The Phlebotomy/Laboratory Assistant program consists of nine weeks of classroom laboratory education, and a 136 hour required externship at a medical facility that could result in employment based on the student's performance and availability at the facility.

Students receive instruction in blood draw and prepare blood for medical testing, transfusions or donation. Students will also receive instruction in the collection of blood via venipuncture, finger pricks, or in the case of infants, heel pricks.
